History of Flight
Location: HWD Administration Building conference room
Please join us on Thursday, March 14th, for a video presentation and discussion of the history of flight. You won't know where you're going until you find out where you've been. Unfortunately, many do not check where they've been and are therefore never sure where they're going.
Always know what the future holds by looking backwards. There will be a general discussion after the video. Please get involved.

Vintage Aircraft Association Chapter 29Whether you fly, build, restore or simply enjoy vintage airplanes and aviation, you are welcome to attend our events and join our chapter. We are a group of aviation enthusiasts, aircraft restorers, and pilots who get together with like minded people to share ideas, exchange information, encourage safety, serve the local aviation community, and have a lot of fun doing so. Please come to our next meeting or event as our guest.
Located in Hayward, California, this Chapter was originally created as an EAA Antique/Classic chapter. In 1999 EAA changed the name of the Antique/Classic division to EAA Vintage Aircraft Association (VAA). Although this is a Vintage chapter, our members consist of pilots and non-pilots, singles, couples and families. Our pilots fly homebuilts, warbirds, light sport and production aircraft.
Our chapter is part of the worldwide network of Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) and Vintage Aircraft Association (VAA) chapters. VAA brings together people from around the world who share an interest in the aircraft of yesterday. Since it was established in 1971, VAA has been working to keep aviation history alive.
EAA embodies the spirit of aviation through the world's most engaged community of aviation enthusiasts. EAA's 160,000 plus members enjoy the fun and camaraderie of sharing their passion for flying, building and restoring recreational aircraft. To find out more about EAA and our programs and services, please visit the EAA home page at EAA.org.
