2014-Mar-08 : Flyout to Princeton-by-the-Sea (HAF)
March 8th was a beautiful day for flying. We met at the HWD wash rack for a flyout to Half Moon Bay. I've flown
there several times in the past to volunteer for Dream Machines or to eat at the three-zero diner, but I haven't
had a chance to park at the southern end of the taxi-way near Eddie Andrini's hangar and go into
Princeton-by-the-Sea. We met at 11 am
for a lunch trip to give the "mist" around HAF a chance to clear. Roberta opted to fly in Gary's
Stearman, Ian flew in Joe's Bonanza, Eric and Thomas flew in their Cessna 182, and I flew alone in my
Cessna 172. We had capacity for an additional 3 to 6 passengers, by the way.
A short walk into town, and we decided on the Half Moon Bay Brewing Company. We got a table on the
"sun deck." I had the blackened red snapper sandwich and that was incredible! Good food, good company,
pleasant weather ... we should definitely do this again!
