Our History
Chapter 29 had it's first meeting on June 10, 1995 and received its charter on June 12, 1995. Located in Hayward, California, the Chapter was originally created as an Antique/Classic chapter. In 1999 EAA changed the name of the Antique/Classic division to EAA Vintage Aircraft Association. Although our chapter is a Vintage chapter, our members consist of pilots and non-pilots, singles, couples and families. Our pilots fly homebuilts, warbirds, light sport and production aircraft. Our meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month in Gary Oberti's hangar located in Executive Hangar #13 at the Hayward Executive Airport. Due to security measures at the airport, contact one of our members if you need access to the airport grounds.- Refreshments - 5:30pm
- Dinner - 6:00pm to 7:00pm
- Business meeting - 7:00pm to 7:15pm
- Speaker/Program - about 7:15pm
